Avui hem passat el matí a l’escola Itäkeskus Peruskoulu de Helsinki. Una escola de 440 alumnes i 60 adults i amb un 50% d’inmigració. Hem fet un tour per les instal·lacions, hem fet observació de diferents classes amb els alumnes (economia domèstica, costura, taller, música, llengua finesa) i hem treballat amb la direcció del centre l’atenció a l’alumnat amb necessitats educatives especials. El centre dóna molta importància al treball socio-emocional, que l’escola sigui un espai segur on l’alumnat se senti integrat i acceptat i els alumnes treballen de forma col·laborativa en el desenvolupament dels seus projectes.
Per la tarda, hem tingut una sessió molt interessant sobre Lideratge pedagògic, coaching i gestió a càrrec del Mikko Leppänem, director de l’escola de primària Viherlakso a la ciutat veïna d’Espoo.

Today we spent the morning at the Itäkeskus Peruskoulu school in Helsinki. A school with 440 students and 60 adults and 50% of them are immigrants. We toured the installations, observed different classes with the students (home economics, sewing, workshop, music, Finnish language) and worked with the school’s management on the care of students with special educational needs. The school gives great importance to social-emotional work, that the school is a safe space where students feel integrated and accepted and students work collaboratively in the development of their projects.
In the afternoon, we had a very interesting session on pedagogical leadership, coaching and management by Mikko Leppänem, principal of the Viherlakso primary school in the neighboring city of Espoo.
