Fostering Global Minds: The Power of Multicultural Storytelling in Early Education

Reading multiculturally in early years’ education goes beyond mere exposure to different stories; it cultivates an environment of respect, acceptance, and celebration of diversity. The webinar has two parts. First, we will reflect on how through literature representing various cultures, children not only learn about others but also see themselves reflected in narratives, fostering a sense of belonging and identity. Second, we will provide an example of how to tell a story that allows children to recognize diverse languages. By embracing storytelling and multicultural literature in early education, educators empower children to foster curiosity and respect for cultural diversity, establishing the groundwork for inclusive attitudes and global citizenship from a young age. Join us on this exciting journey where we unlock the magic of multicultural storytelling together!”
