Aquesta gent necessita un diagn\u00f2stic r\u00e0pid i senzill que sigui capa\u00e7 de detectar en una mostra el bacteri causant d\u2019aquesta malaltia. Els aven\u00e7os cient\u00edfics han perm\u00e8s trobar diferents solucions a aquest problema, entre les quals es troben les proves de flux lateral. El prop\u00f2sit d\u2019aquesta investigaci\u00f3 \u00e9s estudiar la viabilitat de les proves de flux lateral, capaces de detectar i identificar la pres\u00e8ncia o l\u2019abs\u00e8ncia d\u2019una seq\u00fc\u00e8ncia espec\u00edfica d\u2019ADN del bacteri <em>Yersinia pestis, <\/em>agent etiol\u00f2gic de la pesta, en una mostra. El resultat final de les pr\u00e0ctiques dutes a terme als laboratoris de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili va ser positiu, les proves de flux lateral tenen la destresa de detectar en una mostra la pres\u00e8ncia del bacteri de la pesta. Mitjan\u00e7ant el diagn\u00f2stic que se\u2019n pot derivar d\u2019aquestes proves, econ\u00f2miques i assequibles per qualsevol persona, la gent malalta dels pa\u00efsos subdesenvolupats s\u00f3n capaces de saber si el seu malestar es degut al bacteri <em>Yersinia pestis <\/em>i, d\u2019aquesta forma, poder rebre quan abans possible el tractament adequat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The plague is a contagious and lethal disease that is fatal for many people, especially in the Third World. These people need a rapid and simple diagnostic that is able to detect in a sample the bacteria that causes this disease. Scientific advances have given rise to different possible solutions to this problem, and among these can be found the Lateral Flow Assay (LFA). The purpose of this research is to study the viability of LFA, able to detect and identify the presence or absence of a specific DNA sequence of the bacteria <em>Yersinia pestis<\/em>, pathogenic agent of the plague, in a sample. The final result of the experiments carried out in the laboratories of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili was positive, the LFA is able to detect in an assay the presence of the plague bacteria.
