I tamb\u00e9 des del punt de vista diagn\u00f2stic, \u00e9s m\u00e9s f\u00e0cil detectar el TDAH en els primers anys de l\u2019escola, mentre que<strong>\u00a0a l\u2019adolesc\u00e8ncia de vegades es passa per alt o es malinterpreta<\/strong>, fet que implica conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies significatives en la qualitat de vida dels pacients.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dificultats per detectar el TDAH a l\u2019adolesc\u00e8ncia<\/h3>\n<p>En els adolescents, els\u00a0<strong>s\u00edmptomes<\/strong>\u00a0del trastorn es barregen amb els comportaments t\u00edpics de l\u2019adolesc\u00e8ncia:\u00a0<strong>inquietud, manca d\u2019atenci\u00f3 i desorganitzaci\u00f3, desig d\u2019independ\u00e8ncia que desemboca en rebel\u00b7lia, canvis d\u2019humor que van de l\u2019euf\u00f2ria a la desesperaci\u00f3, esfor\u00e7os per adaptar-se als canvis f\u00edsics i emocionals, dificultats d\u2019autoregulaci\u00f3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La superposici\u00f3 dels s\u00edmptomes del TDAH amb els canvis t\u00edpics que experimenten els humans entre els 13 i els 17 anys fa que\u00a0<strong>el TDAH adolescent sigui dif\u00edcil d\u2019identificar<\/strong>. Per\u00f2 qu\u00e8 \u00e9s l\u2019emmascarament? Podem definir-ho com a\u00a0<strong>comportaments p\u00fablics contraris al seu aut\u00e8ntic jo<\/strong>, com si s\u2019estigu\u00e9s posant una m\u00e0scara.<\/p>\n<p>No obstant, no es tracta de comportaments maliciosos o nocius. Es tracta d\u2019<strong>estrat\u00e8gies de defensa i comportaments compensatoris que la persona decideix posar en pr\u00e0ctica per emmascarar un comportament i satisfer les expectatives socials<\/strong>, ocultant aspectes de la naturalesa impulsiva o hiperactiva. Aix\u00f2 pot passar de forma conscient, com quan ens esforcem per no parlar impulsivament, o de manera inconscient,\u00a0<strong>desenvolupant h\u00e0bits d\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 des de la inf\u00e0ncia<\/strong>. Per exemple, un nen hiperactiu que rep cr\u00edtiques constantment pot intentar demostrar la seva v\u00e0lua destacant o, al contrari, reprimint la seva vivacitat per no molestar. A l\u2019edat de desenvolupament, aix\u00f2 es pot traduir en una dificultat per recon\u00e8ixer les necessitats pr\u00f2pies, en la inhibici\u00f3 de l\u2019expressi\u00f3 espont\u00e0nia i fins i tot en una forma de f\u00f2bia social.\u00a0<strong>La societat sovint jutja negativament alguns comportaments t\u00edpics del TDAH, com la distracci\u00f3 o la dificultat per organitzar-se<\/strong>, fet que porta moltes persones a interioritzar un sentiment d\u2019inadequaci\u00f3 i a sacrificar l\u2019autenticitat per sentir-se acceptades.
