A nivell mundial, el nombre de persones que viuen en situaci\u00f3 d&#8217;extrema pobresa va disminuir des d&#8217;un 36% el 1990 fins a un 10% el 2015. Tot i aix\u00f2, el ritme al qual es produeix aquest canvi est\u00e0 disminuint, i la crisi de la COVID- 19 posa en risc d\u00e8cades de poder en la lluita contra la pobresa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una nova publicaci\u00f3 publicada per l&#8217;Institut Mundial d&#8217;Investigacions d&#8217;Economia del Desenvolupament de la Universitat de les Nacions Unides adverteix que les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies econ\u00f2miques de la pand\u00e8mia mundial podrien incrementar la pobresa a tot el m\u00f3n fins a afectar 500 milions de persones m\u00e9s o el que \u00e9s el mateix, a un 8% m\u00e9s de la poblaci\u00f3 total mundial. Aquesta seria la primera vegada que la pobresa augmenta a tot el m\u00f3n en 30 anys, des del 1990.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e9s de 700 milions de persones, o el 10% de la poblaci\u00f3 mundial, encara viu en situaci\u00f3 d&#8217;extrema pobresa avui dia, amb dificultats per satisfer les necessitats m\u00e9s b\u00e0siques, com la salut, l&#8217;educaci\u00f3 i l&#8217;acc\u00e9s a aigua i sanejament , per nomenar algunes. La majoria de persones que viuen amb menys d&#8217;1,90 d\u00f2lars al dia viuen a l&#8217;\u00c0frica subsahariana. Arreu del m\u00f3n, els \u00edndex de pobresa a les \u00e0rees rurals s\u00f3n del 17,2 %; m\u00e9s del triple dels mateixos \u00edndexs per a les \u00e0rees urbanes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pels qui treballen, el seu lloc de treball no els garanteix una vida digna. De fet, el 8% dels treballadors de tot el m\u00f3n, i les seves fam\u00edlies, vivien en situaci\u00f3 de pobresa extrema el 2018. Un de cada cinc nens viu en situaci\u00f3 d&#8217;extrema pobresa.
