Their objective was to assess the <a href=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/ambits\/dinamica-dels-ecosistemes\/introduccio-a-la-limnologia-cursos-fluvials\/\">current ecological state of the Vallvidrera stream<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First, they organized themselves into working teams and reviewed the necessary materials to conduct the field study. They examined both physico-chemical parameters (biotope) and biodiversity-related aspects (biocenosis) to determine the water quality of the stream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-22133 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/4-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"343\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/4-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/4-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/4.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px\" \/>Once at the stream, the teams collected a variety of data, including UTM coordinates, air and water temperature, width, depth, flow velocity, transparency, odor, granulometry, among others. They also took water samples for further analysis in the laboratory. Additionally, they assessed the conservation status of the riparian forest vegetation using the QRISI method. Finally, they dedicated time to capturing aquatic macroinvertebrates, which would later be used as bioindicators. They successfully collected a diverse range of organisms: mayfly larvae, dragonfly and damselfly larvaes, aquatic snails, freshwater limpets and shrimps, water crickets, and even a salamander larva!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the laboratory, they analyzed the water samples to measure parameters such as hardness, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate concentrations, pH, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity (to determine mineralization) using the assessment kits from the<em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.projecterius.cat\/front\">Projecte Rius<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The captured macroinvertebrates were studied with the help of binocular magnifiers and identification charts to determine their biotic index. By combining this physico-chemical and biological information, they concluded that the water quality of the stream was mediocre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-22126\" src=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/2-2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"253\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/2-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/2-2.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To conclude, all the captured animals were safely released back into their habitat, where they will continue their life cycle!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Congratulations on a job well done! See you next time!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CATAL\u00c0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dimecres 5 de febrer de 2025, hem rebut al <a href=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/\">CdA Can Santoi<\/a> un equip internacional format per estudiants de 1r de Batxillerat de l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instpamies.cat\/\">Institut Teresa P\u00e0mies<\/a> d&#8217;Horta Guinard\u00f3 i del programa Erasmus+ provinents de Dunkerque, a l&#8217;Alta Fran\u00e7a, per avaluar l&#8217;actual <a href=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/ambits\/dinamica-dels-ecosistemes\/introduccio-a-la-limnologia-cursos-fluvials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">estat ecol\u00f2gic de la riera de Vallvidrera.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En primer lloc s\u2019han organitzat en equips de treball i han revisat el material necessari per dur a terme l\u2019estudi de camp, tant dels par\u00e0metres fisicoqu\u00edmics (bi\u00f2top) com dels referents a la biodiversitat (biocenosi), per poder determinar la qualitat de l\u2019aigua de la riera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-22140 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/5-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"249\" height=\"332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/5-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2025\/02\/5.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 249px) 100vw, 249px\" \/>Un cop a la riera han recollit tot un seguit de dades organitzats per equips (coordenades UTM, temperatura de l&#8217;aire i de l&#8217;aigua, amplada, fond\u00e0ria, velocitat, transpar\u00e8ncia, olor, granulometria, etc.) i han agafat mostres d\u2019aigua per completar l\u2019an\u00e0lisi al laboratori. Tamb\u00e9 han valorat l\u2019estat de conservaci\u00f3 de la vegetaci\u00f3 del bosc de ribera (mitjan\u00e7ant el protocol QRISI). Finalment s\u2019han dedicat a capturar macroinvertebrats aqu\u00e0tics que posteriorment farien servir com a bioindicadors. Han aconseguit recol\u00b7lectar una bona diversitat d\u2019organismes: larves d&#8217;ef\u00edmera, de lib\u00e8l\u00b7lula, d&#8217;espiadimonis, cargols aqu\u00e0tics, barretets, gambes, grills d&#8217;aigua i, fins i tot, han pogut observar una larva de salamandra!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al laboratori han analitzat les mostres d&#8217;aigua per calcular par\u00e0metres com la duresa, la concentraci\u00f3 de nitrits, nitrats i fosfats, el pH, l&#8217;oxigen dissolt o la conductivitat (per con\u00e8ixer la mineralitzaci\u00f3) amb l\u2019ajuda dels kits de valoraci\u00f3 del <a href=\"http:\/\/www.projecterius.cat\/front\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Projecte Rius<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Han estudiat els macroinvertebrats capturats amb l\u2019ajut de lupes binoculars i fitxes identificatives per determinar el seu \u00edndex bi\u00f2tic. Amb tota aquesta informaci\u00f3 fisicoqu\u00edmica i biol\u00f2gica han determinat una qualitat mediocre de l\u2019aigua.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Per acabar s\u2019han tornat a alliberar sans i estalvis tots els animals capturats al seu h\u00e0bitat, on seguiran el seu cicle de vida!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Felicitats per la feina realitzada!
