La lectura \u00e9s directa: observem el que marca l&#8217;agulla indicadora tenint en compte el valor de les graduacions (&#8220;ratlletes&#8221;) m\u00e9s petites (a l&#8217;higr\u00f2metre de la imatge, la humitat relativa passa un p\u00e8l del 80 %; la graduaci\u00f3 \u00e9s en increments de l&#8217;1%).<br \/>\nFixeu-vos que el valor m\u00ednim \u00e9s del 10% i que els espais de separaci\u00f3 entre els valors m\u00e9s baixos (per exemple entre el 10 i l&#8217;11%) \u00e9s bastant m\u00e9s ample que la que hi ha entre els valors m\u00e9s elevats (per exemple, entre el 99 i el 100%).<br \/>\nL&#8217;higr\u00f2metre no \u00e9s un instrument massa exacte. Cal calibrar-lo amb un aparell m\u00e9s prec\u00eds. Per fer-ho, cal girar amb un tornav\u00eds un cargol que trobareu a la part posterior de l&#8217;aparell fins a ajustar-lo al valor real.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>En quines unitats es mesura?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nLa humitat relativa s&#8217;expressa en tants per cents o percentatge (%)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Com funciona?<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>Dins l&#8217;aparell hi ha un fil especial (catgut) o b\u00e9 un cabell tensat que quan l&#8217;ambient \u00e9s humit s&#8217;estira una mica i quan \u00e9s sec s&#8217;encongeix tamb\u00e9 una mica. El frare \u00e9s en realitat un higr\u00f2metre i ens indica la humitat relativa de l&#8217;aire. En general s&#8217;associa el temps sec amb un temps bo i assolellat, mentre que la humitat elevada ens indica possibilitat de cels ennuvolats o pluges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Les &#8220;wetterhaus&#8221; o casetes del temps<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2014\/11\/casa_del_temps_humitat_br.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2259\" src=\"http:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2014\/11\/casa_del_temps_humitat_br.jpg\" alt=\"casa_del_temps_humitat_br\" width=\"267\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a>S\u00f3n m\u00e9s t\u00edpiques al centre d&#8217;Europa (Alemanya, Su\u00efssa) que no pas al nostre pa\u00eds. S\u00f3n higr\u00f2metres de cabell que enlloc de mostrar la humitat amb l&#8217;agulla indicadora fan girar dos ninos sobre un eix central de tal manera que surt de la casa un o l&#8217;altre en funci\u00f3 de la humitat ambiental.<br \/>\nSi surt la noia (m\u00e0niga curta) ens indica bon temps; si surt el noi (barret i paraigua a la m\u00e0) ens indica temps pluj\u00f3s. Si estan tots dos al llindar de la porta, que sembla que no es decideixin a sortir cap dels dos, temps variable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Les figuretes que canvien de color<br \/>\n<\/strong>Hi ha unes figuretes que es solen vendre com a record que tenen la propietat de canviar <a href=\"http:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2014\/11\/figura_clorur_cobalt_br.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2271\" src=\"http:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2014\/11\/figura_clorur_cobalt_br.jpg\" alt=\"figura_clorur_cobalt_br\" width=\"250\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a>de color en funci\u00f3 de la humitat ambiental. Com ja hem vist en els dos casos anteriors, tamb\u00e9 s\u00f3n predictores del temps i es basen en la humitat relativa de l&#8217;aire.<br \/>\nSi la figureta es veu de color blau ens indica bon temps (humitat baixa). Si es torna de color rosat ens indica mal temps (humitat elevada).<br \/>\nAqu\u00ed el mecanisme no es basa en l&#8217;higr\u00f2metre de cabell sin\u00f3 en una subst\u00e0ncia, el clorur de cobalt hidratat, que canvia de color si absorbeix m\u00e9s o menys aigua de l&#8217;ambient<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El branquill\u00f3 de fusta<br \/>\n<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2262\" src=\"http:\/\/serveiseducatius.xtec.cat\/cda-cansantoi\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu1385\/2014\/11\/vareta_higrometrica_br.jpg\" alt=\"vareta_higrometrica_br\" width=\"300\" height=\"68\" \/>Alguns tipus de fusta, com ara el bedoll, tenen la propietat d&#8217;absorbir la humitat de l&#8217;aire i canviar de forma en les seves parts m\u00e9s primes com poden ser els branquillons.
