Es m\u00e1s habitual de lo que desear\u00edamos que el tratamiento de ciertos aspectos de las matem\u00e1ticas se inicie en el c\u00e1lculo y que las destrezas de c\u00e1lculo condicionen la evoluci\u00f3n en la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas. Ense\u00f1ar a calcular no es suficiente ni necesario para que el alumnado resuelva problemas. Si queremos que resuelvan problemas hay que ense\u00f1arles a resolver problemas.
