En la societat actual, les produccions art\u00edstiques, visuals i audiovisuals s\u00f3n m\u00e9s diverses que mai, i comprendre-les, contextualitzar-les i interpretar-les \u00e9s clau per desenvolupar un esperit cr\u00edtic, reflexiu i creatiu en l\u2019alumnat. La imatge i els llenguatges visuals i audiovisuals, omnipresents en l\u2019entorn, els mitjans de comunicaci\u00f3 i els dispositius digitals, tenen finalitats i aplicacions m\u00faltiples, no nom\u00e9s en l\u2019art i el disseny, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 en la comunicaci\u00f3, l\u2019educaci\u00f3, la ci\u00e8ncia i la tecnologia.<\/p>\n<p>El curr\u00edculum d\u2019EPVA promou que tot l\u2019alumnat, de 1r a 3r d\u2019ESO, desenvolupi compet\u00e8ncies per comprendre i valorar les produccions art\u00edstiques i, alhora, crear-les amb finalitats diverses, utilitzant materials, t\u00e8cniques i eines, tant manuals com digitals, i tenint en compte la sostenibilitat i el context cultural.
