En l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de l&#8217;educaci\u00f3, aquest principi significa que tots els infants i joves tinguin les mateixes oportunitats i condicions per formar-se, independentment del seu origen, g\u00e8nere i classe social.<\/p>\n<p>El Departament d&#8217;Educaci\u00f3 impulsa pol\u00edtiques, iniciatives i recursos per combatre la segregaci\u00f3 als centres educatius, ja que suposa una vulneraci\u00f3 del dret a l&#8217;educaci\u00f3 en igualtat d&#8217;oportunitats, que est\u00e0 protegit per la Convenci\u00f3 sobre els drets de l&#8217;infant de les Nacions Unides i per la legislaci\u00f3 en mat\u00e8ria d&#8217;educaci\u00f3.
