target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">l\u2019Institut Mart\u00ed Dot<\/a> de Sant Feliu de Llobregat s\u2019ha celebrat la confer\u00e8ncia: \u00a0<strong>Gen\u00e8tica i Biotecnologia: Fent m\u00e0gia al laboratori?<\/strong> A c\u00e0rrec de la Doctora <strong>Gemma Marfany<\/strong>, doctora en Biologia i professora de Gen\u00e8tica de la Universitat de Barcelona..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breu resum de la pon\u00e8ncia:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Als mitjans de comunicaci\u00f3 sentim parlar sovint que s\u2019ha trobat un nou gen, que podrem curar algun dia el c\u00e0ncer, que als Estats Units es poden menjar salmons transg\u00e8nics. Fins i tot, sentim parlar qu\u00e8 tal o qual jugador de futbol t\u00e9 ADN Bar\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Per\u00f2 sabem realment qu\u00e8 \u00e9s l\u2019ADN? Qu\u00e8 \u00e9s un gen?<\/p>\n<p>Sabem que la gen\u00e8tica i la biotecnologia ens permeten convertir-nos en enginyers gen\u00e8tics?<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u00e8 podem modificar gen\u00e8ticament animals i plantes?<\/p>\n<p>Avui dia podem extreure un gen d\u2019un organisme i introduir-lo en un altre i aix\u00ed, respondre preguntes cabdals de la biologia, produir aliments amb noves caracter\u00edstiques, curar persones mitjan\u00e7ant ter\u00e0pia g\u00e8nica o nanotecnologia, o crear en una placa de Petri al laboratori c\u00e8l\u00b7lules i \u00f2rgans per a trasplantament, pell, neurones, c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta-pancre\u00e0tiques fetge, ronyons\u2026<\/p>\n<p>La gen\u00e8tica ens permet entendre la informaci\u00f3 gen\u00e8tica dels organismes, i modificar-la, cada cop amb eines biotecnol\u00f2giques m\u00e9s acurades i m\u00e9s properes. Quan la ci\u00e8ncia i la tecnologia ens permeten fer el que dissenyem racionalment, talment sembla com si f\u00e9ssim m\u00e0gia.
